This represents the last 16 plus hours of my artistic life. I received a Cintiq Companion Hybrid for Christmas from my lovely wife and I figured I'd test myself. Since I had never used a Cintiq and I was out of my comfort zone I figured I change things up. I started this in Sketchbook Pro for Android while using the CCH in mobile mode and took it to about 90% that way. I didnt start with a sketch, just painted and refined until it came out. Then in a 4 hour marathon session (with 3 kids getting an hour is a blessing) I finished it up in Sketchbook Pro 6 in Desktop Mode. I intentionally avoided Photoshop for finishing, instead making custom brushes in Sketchbook Pro and adjusting the image with what the software had to offer. I'm happy with how it came out and it's a testament to how powerful that program has become.
On a personal not, How did I do keeping it painterly? I tried not to over render and leave bits of the artists touch here and there.
